Customer Engineer, Google Workspace, SMB (English, Japanese)

Sales Engineers are the behind-the-scenes brains for the proposals the Partner Development team pitches to our partners. Your strong software development background, detailed knowledge of web technologies and online advertising are key to working with the engineering and sales teams to create custom solutions for our partners.

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities
• Understand key customer technical objections
• Develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
• Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with customers
• Demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud
• Lead prospecting and acquisition of new logos
• Create and build customer relationships from scratch
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 4 years of experience working on agentic applications and productivity software
• 4 years of experience working with digital native customers
• Experience delivering technical presentations
• Experience in data and AI, including generative AI and agentic AI solutions and environments
• Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently
• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with WAN/internet-related technologies and architectures across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud productivity suites
• Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems
• Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, or Big Data technologies and containers

• Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently
